So, Zoom Towns are exactly what you would presume them to be; Remote workers telecommuting from their new vacation destinations. The influx locally is tangible – roads are swamped, housing prices skyrocketing, people unable to schedule inspections and work for the home in a timely fashion. We are in the midst of a real Exodus to Florida and other warm-weather states. Because of Covid, people can work from anywhere and they are most-definitely taking advantage of that opportunity and honestly, who could blame them??
We have amazing weather, beaches, outdoor activities, sports abound and some fantastic food and restaurants. Taxes are lower, roads aren’t destroyed by potholes and we have a mature and diverse population. For now, we continue to ride this lightning working diligently to find our clients their new homes.
