The 2021 Real Estate Market Outlook

Sarasota Real Estate

REALTOR® Magazine recently released their housing and economic forecast for 2021 and it looks very encouraging. With the positive conflux of low interest rates, tight inventory and consumer’s freedom to work remotely, the outlook is more-than-positive. Here in Sarasota, listings are moving very quickly and some have competitive offers on the same day as the listing. The surrounding towns of Osprey, Lakewood Ranch, Venice and Nokomis have limited inventory as well and homeowners are happily finding their homes are highly sought after and are fetching full-price offers.

Unemployment figures to recede, mortgage rates will continue to attract first time buyers and the new work-from-home contingent allows for out-of-state purchases. Florida is already attractive for a lot of reasons, but certainly the tax factor comes into play when compared to high-tax states like Illinois and New York. People are moving here for those reasons and of course, the proximity to the beach and great weather.

REALTORS® should expect to be very busy helping families and retirees relocate to the Sarasota area and Florida in general.

If you are looking to sell your home in the Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch, Osprey, Nokomis or Venice, this is an amazing time to do so.
